JD Young (JDY) is an exclusive Graduate Program designed for high-potential graduates who want to make an impact in the world of logistics, supply chain, and e-commerce. The program aims to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity for career growth in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Graduates will have the chance to transition into full-time roles upon successful completion of the program.
Base Location: 20 King Street, SW1Y 6QY, London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the category leader, manager and category buyers in day to-day merchandising activities such as assortment planning, product selection, and inventory management.
- Assist in vendor communication, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure timely delivery of products and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats in assigned product categories.
- Maintain accurate product data, pricing information, and inventory records in the merchandising system to facilitate effective decision-making and reporting.
- Help identify and correct errors in product descriptions, visuals or data.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute promotional campaigns, product launches.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and analysis for category reviews, business meetings, and executive updates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor-level or Master-level student. You must currently be enrolled as a full-time university student at the time of applying, or you are in the Netherlands on an orientation year visa.
- Relevant experience in retail, merchandising, or buying (through an internship or otherwise) is a plus.
- No more than 2 years of work experience
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online shopping trends is a plus.
- Basic analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
- Basic skills in Excel.
- Proficient in English.
