Job Summary:
As a Graduate Trainee Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in providing analytical and reporting services to support critical business decisions. Your responsibilities will include analyzing performance trends, conducting industry and market research, and reviewing sales and financial data to derive actionable insights.
You will collaborate closely with teams across the organization, so strong communication skills are essential to effectively share your findings and support business strategies. As part of your role, you will receive comprehensive training to help develop your skills and ensure your success.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical and reporting services to support key business decisions.
- Analyze performance trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Conduct industry and market research to stay informed on business/industry trends.
- Review and interpret sales and financial data to generate meaningful insights.
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization to share findings and drive strategic decisions.
- Communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance analytical skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of business intelligence tools and dashboards.
Personal Specification:
Essential:
- A preferred first-class or 2.1 degree.
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree with a high level of numeracy, statistics, and computer science.
- Proficient in a wide range of statistical techniques
- Ability to identify significant trends in data and apply appropriate analysis techniques, interpreting and presenting results.
- Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels and in a variety of formats.
- Capable of explaining technical topics to a non-technical audience.
- Flexible with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to assess, prioritize, and organize tasks.
- Attention to detail with a quality focus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Proven commitment to treating colleagues and stakeholders fairly and respectfully, demonstrating an understanding of the impact of their behavior on others.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the healthcare environment within the UK.
- Knowledge of research techniques, both quantitative and qualitative, including survey design.
- Commercial awareness.
- Experience with statistical packages and business intelligence platforms such as SPSS, MS Power BI, and Cognos.
- Familiarity with VBA, SQL, or other computer languages.
- Experience in handling large volumes of data.
- Experience managing projects to successful completion.
