During the programme, successful applicants will begin by fulfilling the role of a Young People Mentor. Towards the end of the two years, the graduate will move on from Young People Mentors into the role of Deputy Manager (pending successful interview!). Successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary and receive level 5 training and support to help them reach their full potential. The role will involve a lot of hands-on work with our young people, but as you progress, you will find yourself increasingly involved in the administrative side as you are given more responsibilities and opportunities to take leadership in your home.The responsibilities of the job: - To assist the Registered Manager in ensuring that the Home meets the standards and expectations of its Statement of Purpose. - To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to ensure that the quality of care provided is consistent with Quality Standards. - To assist in the establishing and maintenance of a competent, motivated and confident Staff team and to offer leadership, managerial direction, guidance and support to Staff at junior levels. - To ensure that the Home’s policies and procedures are adhered to and that resources are managed effectively. - To monitor systems for the efficient administration of the Home and to ensure that the fabric of the Home, equipment, appliances and grounds are maintained to the highest order in accordance with Health and Safety requirements. - To liaise with Local Authorities, School, Health and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for Young Person(s). - To actively promote the Home’s equal opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice policies. - Minimum 2:1 degree (predicted or achieved) - High level of competency using Google Drive - Experience working with children and young people - Driving Licence - Clear Disclosure and Barring Service Check (Enhanced) - Ability to relate to Young People - Strong communication - Influencing skills - Action-oriented – gets things done - Team working - Emotional and social intelligence - Competent IT skills - Can-do attitude - Ability to work under pressure - Good planning and organising skillsDesirable - Degree in a related field - Self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative - Attention to detail - Strong English written and spoken - Strong IT skills - Strong financial knowledgeThis vacancy is available to new and recent Inspirations employees.Existing employees of Inspirations Leicestershire who have graduated may also be considered if they meet the criteria. Inspirations residential homes are situated in Oadby, which is a popular residential area in Leicestershire, and have expanded into Northamptonshire. Our settings offer a home for up to 4 young people aged between 6 – 18 years. We provide 24-hour care for young people who would benefit from living in a family environment.We provide a home for children and young people who have particular needs that make it impractical for them to live at home, or who expressly prefer not to be placed with foster carers. We also cater to young people who display challenging and unsociable behaviour and would best benefit from a secure, stable environment within a small home setting.We believe that every child deserves the best, so it is our mission to be the best children’s homes in the country providing the best outcomes for children.We are a provider of children's residential care homes in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, offering 24-hour care to children and young people aged 6 to 18 years. Inspirations have been operating for a number of years and are expanding at a significant rate, whilst still maintaining the friendly, family-feel of a smaller organisation. Our success has led us to extend our services into Family Assessment, with our new centre, which opened in November 2023.
