The Role

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with our experienced QS team to provide financial and contractual management of projects. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and work towards professional accreditation (e.g., RICS).

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
Supporting the preparation of bills of quantities (BoQ) and procurement schedules.
Helping to monitor project costs and progress against budgets.
Assisting in valuing completed works and arranging payments to contractors and subcontractors.
Participating in risk assessments and value engineering exercises.
Maintaining accurate records of project financials and contract administration.
Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Skills & Attributes:

Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficient in using relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, or QS-specific tools).
Eagerness to learn and develop in a professional environment.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

Internship or placement experience in construction, engineering, or related industries.
Knowledge of contracts such as NEC, JCT, or FIDIC.

Qualifications:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or expected completion of such a degree).
