We are looking for creative interior designers to join our IKEA store team. As an interior designer, you will bring visions to life with innovative and functional design solutions.

Your responsibilities will include space planning, selecting IKEA products and materials, and ensuring each project aligns with our brand's aesthetic and practical standards.

What you'll be doing day-to-day

Use Interior Design competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity, inspire and surprise our visitors.
Work with our commercial calendar you will plan inspiring commercial displays for the store, the majority of your time will be spent implementing and bringing your plans to life on the shop floor.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure a seamless shopping experience.
Contribute to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
Stay updated on trends in home furnishing & retail experience.

What you'll need

You have a degree in a relevant creative field or experience working in Interior Design.
A working knowledge in design software such as Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
You are interested in home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to generate new ideas to inspire our customers.
You have a hands-on approach, feeling at ease working with various hand tools and comfortable working at heights.

Candidates that meet basic requirements for the role will be invited to complete a value based questionnaire. This will take 20 minutes to complete and the purpose is to understand your suitability aligning to the 8 IKEA values.
Following completion of this, shortlisted candidates will be invited by email to complete a task and attend a first interview.
Those successful at first interview will be invited to attend a second interview with a senior manager.

The Start Date of employment will be: May 2025
Starting salary of £26,400 based on competence and experience.
39 hours working 5 days per week.
