Graduate Building Control Inspector
Locations – Central London, Watford, Petts Wood, Bedford, Durham, Wigan, Portishead, Cornwall, Exeter Southampton
Salary – Starting salary of £30,000 non-London / £34,000 London with periodic increases on key progression milestones towards Class 2 Registered Building Inspector

The Role
Stroma Building Control is one of the largest Registered Building Control Approvers across the country. Boasting a national footprint of more than 14 offices with 150+ qualified surveyors, bringing with it a talented and diverse workforce.
Due to our ambition for continued growth, we are looking to take on a new graduate building control surveyor in various regional locations across England. You will receive a structured training plan, attend regular CPD sessions on numerous topics relating to building control and receive support from your own team as well as from the wider group.
You will be enrolled on to our 3-year structured development plan which will begin with a Graduate Entry Pathway (1 year) where you will provide technical administrative support to Registered Building Inspectors which will then lead into our in-house Academy (2 years) during which period you will be supported in making your own application to become a Registered Building Inspector.
Please note this programme is only suitable for a Graduate with a degree in Building Control, Building Surveying or a construction related discipline, who wishes to become a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2 or Class 3).
You will need
- A degree in Building Control, Building Surveying, or a construction related discipline
- The willingness to complete a building control competence route in order to apply for your registration as a Registered Building Inspector
- To work towards an understanding of relevant legislation, technical guidance, and the Construction Industry Council Code of Conduct
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to provide an efficient and friendly service to internal and external customers
- Time management skills and the flexibility to undertake all duties required
- Microsoft office knowledge
