RSK Group is now hiring for a
Mergers and Acquisition Graduate to join the dynamic Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team within a fast-paced and acquisitive business. This is based from our
London Office, offering Hybrid working. The role is due to start in September but we are flexible on earlier start dates.
As a Graduate in the team, you will play a key supporting role on live transactions, working closely with other members of the M&A team to help deliver successful outcomes.
As part of the graduate scheme, we will support you in studying towards a relevant professional qualification in corporate finance (e.g. ICAEW Corporate Finance qualification or equivalent), subject to business needs and your career aspirations.
You will gain hands-on exposure to each stage of the buy-side deal process, including sourcing, valuation, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-deal integration. This will include involvement in areas such as financial analysis, project coordination, board pack preparation, and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders.
The role offers excellent development opportunities and the chance to attend internal and external meetings, build commercial awareness, and develop core M&A skills in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the M&A team on all aspects of active acquisitions.
- Assist with financial analysis and the development of financial models
- Review and comment on Information Memorandums and data room materials
- Help coordinate due diligence workstreams across finance, legal, HR, IT, SHEQ, insurance, and sustainability.
- Track project timelines and actions, ensuring transactions remain on schedule.
- Collaborate with Divisional Directors and internal advisors to maintain progress on live deals.
- Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings and calls
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including diary management and scheduling with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct desktop research and gather information to support deal evaluation and wider strategic activity.
- Provide general support to the M&A team as required, including research and ad hoc tasks.
Person Specification:
- Degree-level qualification (minimum 2:2) or a Level 6 or 7 apprenticeship (minimum merit).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and interest in developing financial modelling experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfortable interpreting financial information and working with data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Collaborative team player with good communication skills.
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to get involved and learn.
- Prior experience (e.g. internship or placement year) in corporate finance, audit, consulting, or similar is beneficial but not essential.
- A strong interest in mergers and acquisitions and corporate growth strategy.
