About the Opportunity

As a Research Scientist in Machine Learning, you’ll lead or contribute to greenfield research projects developing novel ML models and algorithms for drug discovery. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with world-class engineers and scientists, you’ll apply deep learning techniques to real-world problems in biology and chemistry. The role includes opportunities to mentor others, shape research direction, and grow within a mission-driven and inclusive organisation. Hybrid working is supported (3 days/week in-office).

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

PhD or equivalent experience in a technical field
Strong background in deep learning and ML algorithm development
Proficient in ML tools (e.g. JAX, PyTorch, TensorFlow) and scientific computing libraries
Solid foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and statistics
Passion for applying ML to real-world scientific challenges
Leadership or project supervision experience (depending on seniority)

Desirable:

PhD in ML or computer science
Publications or contributions to ML research/codebases
Experience in interdisciplinary research, especially biology or chemistry
Familiarity with real-world datasets, ML accelerators, or GNNs, generative models, vision/3D/robotics applications
