About Us
We are the Income and Debt Recovery team based in Kings House, Bedworth. This is a busy and energetic team responsible for allocating and banking all income received for customer contributions towards community care or residential care services, and for undertaking debt recovery processes to recoup unpaid charges in accordance with Council policies and Government guidance. In addition, the team is responsible for the monitoring, and recovery, of Direct Payments to ensure that customers are using funds in accordance with their Direct Payment Agreement.
About The Role
We are looking for a full-time, Finance Assistant to join us. You will be part of a busy team ensuring that all income received via various payment methods in respect of community care and residential care services is processed and allocated accurately and in a timely manner. You will also be involved in the Direct Payment Monitoring process and be involved in initial debt recovery action to ensure customer contributions for community care, residential care and Direct Payments are received. You will be involved in processing payments to service users and providers ensuring that strict payment deadlines are met and for ensuring that external invoices are raised and recovered on behalf of Adult Social Care. The role will also include dealing with queries, verbally or in writing, in relation to all areas of work undertaken.
Key Requirements
As you will be working with a variety of stakeholders, it is important you have strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal. You need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and will deal with customers, families, colleagues and other representatives. You will have the ability to work to deadlines, and under pressure, whilst at all times maintaining accuracy. Experience using computer systems to input and obtain information is essential as well as experience using, and knowledge of word processing software and spreadsheets.
