About the Opportunity

This permanent, London-based role (with hybrid working) is an exciting opportunity to join the BBC's Commercial Rights and Business Affairs team. You’ll support legal and business operations for digital and tech innovations, working on contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements. With access to first-class training, development programmes, and internal mobility, this role offers a clear pathway to grow your legal career in a unique digital media environment. Salary ranges from £28,000–£38,000 + £5,164 London weighting, with excellent benefits including generous holiday, pension, and health options.

What We're Looking For

Law degree and legal right to work in the UK
Commercial contract experience in a firm or tech business
Knowledge of contract law and IP
Strong document drafting and MS Word skills
Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
Understanding of digital/consumer tech and innovation
Collaborative and proactive mindset
Desire to improve legal processes and support team goals

Desirable:

Experience with rights clearance and copyright licensing
Familiarity with generative AI, digital platforms, and emerging tech
Strong negotiation skills and creative problem-solving
Proficiency with databases and spreadsheets
