Family Support Worker

Family Network Service (formerly Family Group Conference Team)
The Family network service have an exciting new role available within our service. We are seeking two Family Support Workers who will work with families at an Early Support level to hold Early Support Family Network Meetings.
Family Support Workers within the Family Network Service provide support to families with children and young people aged 0-19 (up to 25 in cases of disability) to improve their life chances and prevent issues from escalating to child protection concerns. The role involves facilitating Early Support Family Network Meetings, ensuring the voice of the child is central, and supporting families to access resources to remove financial barriers.
This will be a fast-paced role with the need to be able to build quick, trusting working relationship with families, children and young people to identify their support network and bringing them together to create their own plans to make sustained change to address the worries and concerns. Your ability to review information, ask the right questions, make decision quickly and ensure decisions are carried out is as important to us, as it is to our young people. All our services are voluntary, so families chose if they are right for them. You will be working with our Early Support, schools, and multi-agency partners to promote and embed Early Support Family Network Meetings.
The Family Network Service is a well-established part of Warwickshire’s Children’s and Families services, dedicated to improving outcomes for young people by working with wider family groups to avoid children coming into care and reduce dependency on specialist services. The team is passionate, supportive, and prides itself on creativity, organisation, and restorative work with families.
