About the Opportunity
This 23-month full-time traineeship starting in September 2025 offers aspiring archivists a unique chance to gain practical experience while studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Archives and Records Management (distance learning, University of Dundee). The trainee will support the Records and Archive Team in all aspects of archive and records management, including public research services, cataloguing, digital preservation, and supporting system transitions. What We're Looking For
Essential:
- 2:1 degree or above
- Demonstrated interest in archives/records management
- Ability to follow procedures and perform physical tasks (e.g., lifting boxes)
- Good IT skills (Windows, MS Office)
- Strong organisation, accuracy, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desirable:
- Customer service experience
- Familiarity with archive/records management systems or general databases
