Geoenvironmental Graduate

We are Arbtech. Our team of over 100 passionate professionals supports more than 8,000

projects each year, offering everything from ecology surveys to tree assessments and protected

species monitoring. Now, we’re expanding into exciting new territory with our fast-growing Geo-

Environmental service — and we’re looking for the second member of the team to help shape

its future.

Salary: £25,400-£29,000 (depending on experience) + benefits

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to sites across the UK

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

The Role:

Are you a graduate looking to grow your career in a role that offers more remote-based work,

This is your opportunity to be part of something new and exciting within a successful, multi-

disciplinary consultancy. You’ll receive full training, one-to-one mentorship, and support toward

becoming a fully-fledged consultant, all while helping to build out a key new service line.

We’re looking for someone reliable, proactive, and solutions-oriented — with sharp attention to

detail and a willingness to think outside the box.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Geoenvironmental Consultant, you’ll support a variety of projects across the UK

and develop vital consultancy skills in both technical and commercial aspects of the role.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting desk-based geoenvironmental assessments – Carrying out detailed desk

studies for a wide range of sites, including analysis of environmental data, historical

mapping, and geological records.

Undertaking site walkover surveys – Visiting sites to assess environmental risks, record

ground conditions, and gather field data to support your reports.

Assisting in scoping and quoting – Working alongside senior consultants to scope out

client requirements and prepare quotes for geoenvironmental investigations.

Report writing and data interpretation – Compiling high-quality, professional reports

with clear conclusions and actionable recommendations for clients.

Project support and coordination – Supporting project delivery from start to finish,

liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re after someone who’s eager to learn and grow, and who brings a commercially-minded,

professional attitude to the table. You’ll be joining a remote-working team, so you must be

comfortable managing your own time and workload.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

A relevant degree (e.g. Geology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, or Geography)

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

A self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn quickly

Confidence using digital tools for report writing, data handling, and project management

No industry experience is required — full training is provided. However, candidates with

relevant experience may be offered a higher starting salary
